Written specifically for my dear friends Matt Panayides, Ann-Estelle Médouze, and Jacqui Tomlet, this work allows for improvisational elements from both the electric guitar and the piano. The title is, of course, utterly transparent: in a sense, all pieces of music are approaching stillness—that is, they are wending towards an end-point, after which the musical vibrations go still. So, why not accept that from the outset, and see what happens along the way? In this case: here are some sounds for you to listen to.
